Fatty acid esters
Pure vegetable oils have too high a viscosity and they are not stable enough. That is why for industrial application
their fatty acids are combined with special alcohols to form esters. They are suitable for immersion, spray and
manual cleaning. It is also possible to emulsify them in water. They pose almost no health hazard, evaporate hardly
and have higher cleaning powers as compared to hydrocarbons and life cycles may be considerably higher. They
leave a slight film on the part, which can be used as short time corrosion protection.
